InfraRecorder: Free Burning Software Never Worked So Good!

InfraRecorder Logo

Over the years, I have used several different products to burn music, software, or data onto a disk. I’ve used pay products like Nero and Roxio, as well as a few others and have become quite disappointed in recent years. Most of the aforementioned software started out great but became unusable after development updates. Either the software is too complicated to use, is limited in functionality, or it tries to take over my computer with “extras” built into the software. Then, about 6 months ago, I was shown by a friend a new software called InfraRecorder and I was stunned. I finally got the old style of burning software I enjoyed without the annoying extras I found distasteful.

InfraRecorder is a fully functional, open-source software suite that allows users to burn/rip music, DVDs, software disks and more. Here are the features listed by Infra Recorder:

If you were one of the many people who quit reading that list early, never fear! All of InfraRecorder’s functionality does not hinder it’s simplicity. As soon as you open up the program you are presented with a menu screen that offers all the basic functionality of InfraRecorder with only one click. However, if you are interested in exploring the more advanced functionality of Infra Recorder, the project provides several video tutorials on their website. InfraRecorder can also be found as a portable application meaning you can install it on a flash drive and never be without great burning software no matter what computer you use. The portable version of this software can be found at PortableApps.com.

Pros: Free and Simple

As I said before, this program is simple to use. InfraRecorder has a great interface, advanced functionality, and is completely free. Also, did I mention that Infra Recorder is portable?

Cons: Email me if you find one…

Since I’ve started using this software, I have never run into a problem. In fact, I’ve been able to copy, burn, and image several disks that other software simply couldn’t. That is why I openly invite anyone to contact me if they find something I’m missing. Until then, I have nothing negative to report! My e-mail is david at dinocore.net

Bottom Line: InfraRecorder Works Great

InfraRecorder is free and easy to use. They provide multiple tutorials on how to use the software and I don’t know of any reasons not to use it. Download the software at InfraRecorder.org
